Launch the core platform with searchable listings, map view, list view, submission form, approval workflow, and foundational SEO setup.

Why it matters: Establishes the core product and creates a usable marketplace structure for future traffic and growth.

Phase 2 – User Experience Improvements

Improve mobile responsiveness, listing card design, page layout, map usability, and visual polish across the site.

Planned additions: better sale cards, improved homepage sections, cleaner search layout, stronger call-to-actions, and a more refined map/list experience.

Phase 3 – Search & Discovery Features

Add smarter browsing tools such as “Garage Sales Today”, “This Weekend”, recently added sales, and improved suburb-based discovery.

Planned additions: today/weekend filters, popular suburbs, nearby suburb suggestions, recently added listings, and geolocation (“use my location”).

Why it matters: Helps users find relevant sales faster and improves search intent matching for SEO.

Phase 4 – Accounts & Listing Management

Introduce user registration, login, and seller tools so users can manage their own adverts.

Planned additions: login/register, seller dashboard, edit listing, delete listing, and ability to extend or re-list sales.

Planned additions: weekly email alerts, suburb-based notifications, saved searches, sale reminders, and future push notifications.

Improve scalability, admin efficiency, data quality, and reliability behind the scenes.

Planned additions: spam filtering, moderation tools, duplicate listing detection, image optimisation, performance tuning, analytics dashboard, automated expiry, and archived listings.

Why it matters: Makes the platform stronger, safer, and more investable as usage grows.

Expand beyond the initial Australian garage sale market.

Planned additions: suburb landing pages, state-based hubs, estate sale support, business seller packages, and a future US-focused sister site using “yard sales” terminology.
